I've been rereading some of Miranda's fic, using the wayback machine. One of the authors I wish was more available at a current archive or ao3.
I'm going to post addys on my blog for authors/places that I have in my bookmarks.

I was rereading Verity Watson's Pratts series. Part of me wishes (still) that she had finished "Drenched" that went from an epic PWP to actual plot.

Sheri Tepper died. I remember finding her and just devouring all of them. Its too early and my memory is too bad to name them (correctly) but her twist on fairytales,, The gate to women's country and finally choosing the alien as a life partner. The Grass. Just an amazing body of work. Hours of enjoyment. I purged 22 bags of books years ago. I kept all of hers.

This election season makes me want to marathon West Wing. Or the last 8 years.

One foot down, one foot to go. Gotta go shovel a path and a spot for my short dog.

I just bought his latest album and had a wonderful talk with the clerk who was interested but hadn't really any idea what Bowie had done since the 70's. I told him that I hoped to be that creative when I am 69. I had some trepidation re: listening to the album, it seemed so dark. Hah.

I spent yesterday contemplating that I've become that cranky old woman I didn't want to be. The whole world, especially the gun fetishers, can get off my lawn.

Picked up one of my cats from the vet, looks like I have a Xander to go with my Buffy.  Babes needs a Parrot!

Brynn McK  "Balancing Act".  Wonderful.  And hard to find now.  I miss all the old archives and the freshness of so much that was written.

And I'd be embarrassed of being a Hoosier if I hadn't moved from there when I was 2.

Today is David Bowie's 68th birthday.  Another small, blondish Englishman.  Real this time!

Treacle Antlers.  The fic w/ cereal and cartoons in Willow's mental hospital room.  And so much more.

Living with my SIL makes me want to go all "Storyteller".

Robin Williams.  We were just discussing The Fisher King.  That led to What Dreams May Come.  What Dreams May Come.

Just finished rereading "The Butcher" by damperandspoons.  I had printed it out when she warned everyone she was turning it into a novel.  Now I want to know if it was published and if she has published anything else.  Some one, somewhere, should collect information like that and keep it some place.  So and So is now publishing under the name "?".  Oh well.
I'm also reading the new biography of T. E. Lawrence.  Keep getting my memory jogged re: Attaturk, The Young Turks and Acuba from my cursory study of the Ottoman Empire years and years ago.  And Lawrence was short!  That just makes me laugh-take that epic hero trope!

Ahhhh, no.  ASH is great but the rest mediocre.  Frees up time between Phillies games to watch Penny Dreadful.

I watched Dominion yesterday because "Giles" is part of it.  He plays a fairly reactionary manipulative leader of a faction (yadda yadda yadda).  With an american accent.  A good american accent.  It was stunning.

I really love the judge for stating that even if some people aren't comfortable with same sex marriage their feelings don't make the ban constitutional.  Yeah Pa!
